What is a Rheumatologist ?
Rheumatologists are medical doctors (MD or DO) who are specially trained to
diagnose and treat various autoimmune disorders and illness that affect the
musculoskeletal system. Most are Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and
Rheumatology. After Medical school, Rheumatologists receive 3 years of training in
Internal Medicine and then anywhere from 2 to 3 years additional training in the
diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic diseases.
Our office takes care of patients with arthritis and diseases that cause arthritis. We
also see patients for inflammatory autoimmune conditions and muscle disorders.
For our patients we offer on site blood drawing, carpal tunnel nerve testing and
musculoskeletal ultrasound for diagnosis and guided injections.
